Connecting a PS3 to a TV and configuring the resolution.

For this configuration I'm using a 320gb slim model ps3.

And an LG 32inch television. It outputs the PlayStation 3's native resolution of 1080p.

This is the power cable that comes with the PlayStation 3 Slim. It's polarized so it can fit in either way.

You can also use the PlayStation 2 power cable to fit in the PlayStation 3 slim or vice versa, because the power supply is built into both machines. If the power supply was an external one and you tried the same, it could be harmful to the system.

Flick the switch.

To get the most out of this tv, it's best to use a HDMI cable. This high bandwidth cable is capable of high resolutions of up to 1080p, which is also the resolution cap of the PlayStation 3.

Plug it into the back of the TV.

Plug the other end into the back of the PlayStation 3
